چکیده
Production of biodiesel from edible vegetable oils using homogenous catalysts negatively impacts food availability and cost while generating significant amounts caustic wastewater during purification. Thus, there is an urgent need to utilize low-cost, non-food feedstocks for the production sustainable heterogeneous catalysis. The objective this study was synthesize a novel supported nano-magnetic catalyst (CaO/Fe2O3/feldspar) (fatty acid methyl esters) waste low-cost plant seed oils, including Sinapis arvensis (wild mustard), Carthamus oxyacantha safflower) Pongamia pinnata (karanja). structure, morphology, surface area, porosity, crystallinity, magnetization confirmed XRD, FESEM/EDX, BET, VSM. maximum yield (93.6–99.9%) achieved at 1.0 or 1.5 wt.% with methanol-to-oil molar ratios 5:1 10:1 40 °C 2 h. CaO/Fe2O3/feldspar retained high activity four consecutive cycles conversion karanja, wild mustard, safflower oils. effective separation external magnet. Various different physico-chemical parameters, such as pour point, density, cloud iodine value, cetane number, were also determined optimized fuels found be within ranges specified in ASTM D6751 EN 14214, where applicable.

Background and Objective: Because of the importance of the role of energy in the world and nonrenewability of fossil fuels and caused environmental issues by these fuels in recent years, many studies have been conducted to find an appropriate alternative to fossil fuels in different countries of the world. Biofuels such as (biodiesel and bioethanol) have been introduced as one of the most desir...
متن کاملBiodiesel Production From Rapeseed Oil With Waste Frying Oils
Biodiesel or fatty acids alkyl esters (FAAE) of long chain are an alternative fuel produced by a transesterification process. The potential production of biodiesel from rapeseed oil in Chile is associated to the solution of economic, environmental and social problems. Experiences from other countries have demonstrated that biodiesel prices are higher than diesel, due to the high costs of the ra...
متن کاملProduction of Biodiesel from Different Edible Oils
Different vegetable oil based biodiesel (FAMES) were prepared by alkaline transesterification using refined oils as well as waste frying oil (WFO). Methanol and sodium hydroxide are used as catalyst under similar reaction conditions. To ensure the quality of biodiesel produced, a series of different ASTM Standard tests were carried out. In this context, various testwere done including viscosity...
